La eterna enemistad que ha enfrentado a Microsoft y Apple desde que sus respectivos fundadores eran unos aventajados estudiantes universitarios, suma un capítulo más.
En una entrevista al canal estadounidense PBS, Bill Gates ha presumido del recién presentado tablet made in Microsoft. Y lo ha hecho a modo de campaña agresiva. Así, ha dicho que cree “muy probable” que Apple desarrolle un producto similar a Surface.
¿Por qué? Fue en Cupertino donde se materializó – y trasladó al gran mercado- la idea de un tablet mucho antes que en Redmond (que después ha sido enérgicamente acusada de llegar tarde a la industria) y fue Apple quien abrió el camino de esta industria, que lleva en gran medida su sello.
Pero Gates cree que el tablet made in Microsoft, aúna lo mejor de un tablet y lo mejor de un PC. Y es este el punto core de la oferta de Surface. “Esto debería cambiar la forma en que se miran las cosas”, explica Gates, como recoge TechRadar.
Es, a ojos del fundador del denominado gigante de software, un dispositivo superior al iPad, que incidirá en los planes futuros de los de Cupertino.

Bill ¡Ya quiere vendernos la moto! A la redacción: Tablets windows ya estaban en el mercado desde Windows XP (2001) como las mejores las Fujitsu “stylus” que tenían un valor de 1500 euros y admitían programas complejos de dibujo, cosa que el iPad no puede hacer.
